It's your Wedding Day
Wonderful, perfect and true,
And surrounded by friends
To share it with you.

This comes with love and a wish
As you journey together,
That you'll share mutual love
Whatever the "weather"

❤ Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one. ❤

Love is not at all understood
And malfunctions two hearts
Weakens both brains, causes four eyes to sparkle,
And affects all erogenous parts

It causes two cheeks to glow,
Blood pressures to rise
Two lips to pucker
And marriage..two enhanced lives

Enjoy the enhancement and puckering
All the very best for the future

❤ Is it better for a woman to marry a man who loves her than a man she loves?  ❤

Trip over love, you can get up.
Fall in love and you fall forever
Congratulations on joining up
And never ever sever

Congratulations
Joined up Ones

❤ All marriages are happy. It's living together afterwards that is difficult. ❤

The bride dreamt of a wedding, with family and friends gathered
In a beautiful church, and a vow for life
She asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for
He said one that would make her his wife

Well, you both get what you want today
Enjoy the future
Together
And forever

❤ Know her mind and you can have her body, know her heart and you have her soul. ❤

Love puts the fun in together,
The sad in apart,
The bung in the hole
And joy in the heart.

❤ Marriage is NOT a romance in which the hero dies in the first chapter. ❤

May your marriage be filled
with love and delight
May you have great happiness
day and night
May your life be filled
with much laughter
May you both live a long life
and happily ever after

❤ If it weren't for marriage, men would spend their lives thinking they had no faults at all. ❤

To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the loving cup
Whenever you're wrong, admit it
Whenever you're right, shut up.
Ogden Nash

Love one another
..and you will be happy.

It's as simple...
.. and as difficult as that.

❤ The theory used to be to marry an older man because they are more mature....  ❤

Side by side,
Rarely apart
Hand in hand,
Heart to heart.

❤ ...The new theory is that men don't mature. So you might as well marry a younger one. ❤

Ever wondered why we have two?
A right hand to show the left what to do.
One ear to listen and one to hear
The problems of others, their laughter and fears.

One eye to watch and one to behold
The beautiful treasures that life has to hold.
One foot to travel and one to stand tall.
Two feet to land on if we should fall.

One man to stand by a woman's side;
One woman to say she’ll be his bride.
The love between partners comes shining through
And that is the reason that we have two...
..who, today, become one

Congratulations to you both on your Wedding

The Wedding Ring

The sweetest story that’s ever be told
Lies in the slim little circle of gold
Joining two people as husband and wife
To share in the joys and the sorrows of life.

For richer for poorer – in sickness and health
Your marriage can yield up as wonderful wealth
Of memories to treasure and hopes to renew
All part of the promise made by you two.

With faith in each other and love as your guide
As long as forever, you’ll walk side by side
And the shining reminder of how much you care
Will line the gold band that you both wear.

❤ Marital Freedom: The liberty that allows a husband to do exactly that which his wife pleases. ❤

May you grow in love and friendship through the years-
listening, learning, leaving room for change
Yet always close enough to whisper,
"This is the one... my life, my love"

Wishing you all the love two people can know.
Best Wishes on your Marriage

❤ Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring and suffering. ❤

Words of Congratulations for a Wedding is a common search expression but the reason for the search is unlikely to be the same for each searcher
1. It may be to write a letter to say Congratulations, thanks for the invite but I'm sorry I cannot attend your wedding ceremony because...
2. It may be to accept the wedding invitation
3. Or else to send a greeting card on or around the wedding date wishing the couple a long and happy marriage
4. It may be to make a speech or just propose a toast at the wedding ceremony ...where, again, the gist is not so much about the wedding bash itself but the couple's future in a happy marriage
An attempt has been made on this page to provide words which could be used for any of these purposes

Wedding Poems PLUS Quotes

On this day of your devotion to each other before family and friends. |
Let us capture the emotion and hope your love never ends.

As you stand there together as two to become one.
We hope that your commitment with loving memories lingers on.

For your love will grow each day that you share with one another.
And the only advice, I would say is be best friends, as well as lovers.

Congratulations on your Wedding Day

❤ Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, and the joy in a heart. ❤

'Always' has a meaning
That you've never known before.
May all your days be filled with love
And every tomorrow add more.

Wishing you both every happiness

A marriage is two friends
Who's lives are blending
Who's hearts are pledging
Love never ending.

More Wedding Poems than you can shake a stick at
Along with quotes, messages, sayings and that

As you start on a journey,
And a new, exciting life
Together, in partnership
As husband and wife,

A wish that you're happy,
Is what this message says
 Not just today and tomorrow,
But forever, and always

❤ Compromise: An amiable arrangement between husband and wife...  ❤

Bunches of flowers and acres of lace.
Confetti or rice, your first married embrace.
Bands of gold, a million photographs.
Hugs and kisses and raucous laughs.

Sparkling glasses and wedding cake.
Smiling so long that your faces ache.
A mother awash with her handkerchief.
The speeches all done, such a relief

These are the things that you’ll always recall.
The wonderful people, the fun of it all.
Enjoy every moment as man and wife.
Have a marvellous wedding and a wonderful life.

Congratulations

❤...whereby they agree to let her have her own way. ❤

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

Khalil Gibran

❤ Use your imagination...Live romantically. ❤

A public declaration of your love
That tells everyone who knows
That you are in love and want to be
Together, forever, as your love grows.

The ceremony is a traditional one
It is close to your hearts
So that vows are said
Declaring never to part.

Your own words you'll use
As they mean more to you both
Adding sincerity and gravitas
To your vows and life oath

That destiny brought you together
So that you could join and be one
May your happiness today
Go on, on, and on
And on
And on and on and on

❤ Let the magic begin ❤

Wedding Poems

In olden times, sacrifices were made at the altar
From today, make lots to each other
A happy marriage is the union of two good forgivers

❤ Eat, drink and be married  ❤

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill all the way to your door.

Irish Blessing

❤ If marriage were outlawed only outlaws would have in-laws  ❤

Marriage is so much more interesting than divorce,
Because it's the only known example of the happy meeting
of the immovable object
and the irresistible force.

So I (we) hope you two will debate and combat
over everything debatable and combatable,
Because I (we) believe a little incompatibility is the spice of life,
particulary since you (Bill) have income and you (Jill) are pattable.

Adapted from a wedding poem
by Ogden Nash

❤ Love is grand. Divorce, a hundred grand  ❤

Niagara Falls, on a honeymoon,
Is the bride's second great disappointment.

(adapted from a Wedding Poem by Oscar Wilde)

❤ Some men are born with cold feet; some acquire cold feet.... ❤

Never go to sleep
On an argument
Just get used to
Going without sleep
For 2 or 3 weeks at a time

❤ ...and some have cold feet thrust upon them. ❤

Put a penny in a pot every time you make love
over the next twelve months
Take a penny out everytime after that

You'll never empty the pot

❤ Mother-in-law: A woman who destroys her son-in-law's peace of mind... ❤

On this your wedding day, I offer you this truism

The best way to remember your new wife's birthday is...
...to forget it once

❤ ...by giving him a piece of hers. ❤

Today you are one, we cherish two:
Loving not just one, but both of you.

The bells are chiming for these Wedding Poems
that will ring in your heart as well as your ears.
Congratulations and may happiness and love reign supreme.
 ❤

As I look down the aisle to you
Waiting patiently for me
I thank my lucky stars
That I am marrying thee.

Your heart is true and your spirit strong
You've never flickered for a minute
You laid your love out on a plate
And I just dived straight in it.

We were meant to be
Although it took some time
In the end I just said
Is it your place or going to be mine.

I love you more than words can say
Higher than the highest star;
I will love and follow you
To anywhere, wherever you are!

❤ The fate of love is that it always seems too little or too much. ❤

Very quietly the two of you will share
With witnesses chosen from the street
We send you all our love
A nicer couple we will never meet.

Congratulations on your (Gretna) (Las Vegas) Wedding Day.

❤ Trip over love, you can get up. Fall in love and you fall forever. ❤

The bride and groom are glowing
From head to toe with love;
Their happiness overflowing
Angels hovering above.

Vows that are made are sacred
Always remember that;
Our Guardian Angels tie the knot
You've now got to work on that.

Whatever life throws at you
You're now in it together;
In sickness and in health
In foul or in fair weather.

❤ We come to love not by finding a perfect person... ❤

Happiness is at journeys end
Along a narrow path
The two of you must become one
You can't get there with two halves.

So on this journey take a bucketful of love
Spiced with wit and laughter on the way
And have a wonderful journey
Down this marriage highway.

❤ ...but by learning to see an imperfect person, perfectly. ❤

This is a batch of simple 4 liner Wedding Poems

Today, you make a public vow
To be wedded for life,
To live and to love,
As husband and a wife.

❤ Jealousy is the only vice that gives no pleasure. ❤

May this special day you share
Be filled with love and laughter
May all the days ahead
Be happy ever after

❤ Mistress: Something between a mister and a mattress.  ❤

To (Jeremy) and (Gemima)
You share a love that's true
Congratulations and Best Wishes
On this day you say "I do"

❤ Marriage is bliss. Ignorance is bliss. Ergo...❤

You two have decided that
You'll share one house for life,
And call yourselves, instead of friends,
A husband and a wife.

❤ Marriage is like a hot bath.... ❤

You're a very special couple
You make the perfect pair
This brings a wish for happiness
In the future you will share.

❤...once you get used to it, it's not so hot  ❤

Once upon a time you (two met) (met your prince/Knight)
You've shared much love and laughter
May your marriage be a fairy tale
Happy ever after

Life with you has been so nice
I'll marry you, not once, but twice

A little girl at the wedding afterwards asked her mother why the bride changed her mind. "What do you mean?" responded her mother. "Well, she went down the aisle with one man, and came back with another."

Every mother generally hopes that her daughter will snag a better husband than she managed to do...but she's certain that her boy will never get as great a wife as his father did.

Give her two red roses, each with a note. The first note says "For the woman I love" and the second, "For my best friend."

Here's the more Wedding Poems

May you cherish these moments
For all of your life
As you step out together
As man and wife.

May the vows that you've taken
Remain true and strong
As you start on life's highway
And journey along.

❤ Marriage is like a violin. After the music is over, you still have the strings. ❤

Wedding Poems .. this is from parents to their daughter

Today (dear daughter), as you walk down the aisle
You'll see all the faces wearing a smile.

But as we remember those young tender years
Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears.

It isn't through sadness , our emotions just whirl
As we're both thinking back to our dear little girl

And now you have grown and made us so proud
As you smile for the camera and the rest of the crowd

Remember dear (name) as you become a new wife
You're still very much a part of our life

❤ The best proof of love is trust. ❤

We're not losing a daughter, we are gaining a son,
Your new lives as husband and wife have begun
So be blissfully happy and enjoy your 'Big Day'
Have a wonderful marriage with a rose strewn way!

Wedding Poems

FOR WEDDING DAY POEMS / SPEECH / SCROLL

Congratulations Samantha and Alan
On this your wedding day
Would it happen this Millennium?
We've heard some cynics say

A man behaving badly
Unkempt and a bit of a scruff
Met a spick and span young lady
Who fancied a bit of ruff

He acted like greased lightning
Dynamic, you know the kind
XX years that's all it took
For Alan to make up his mind

Let's face it, Sam wasn't choosey
She admits it to herself
No spring chicken she feared that she'd
Be left up on the shelf

But despite major differences
The pair found common ground
For example, his big butt matches her big nose
Or is it the other way round?

They share a love of exotic vacations
They're XYZ and AB fans
Love flourished and so the two of them
Hatched their wedding plans

While Samantha thinks of kissing
When Alan's lips are pursed
His mind is on a can of Bud
To quench his prodigious thirst

And so in the Summer of '07
The Virginian took his Tennessee wife
Good luck you whirlwind romantics
Have a long and happy life

❤ Love isn't something you find.... .❤

This is a Wedding Poem from parents to their son

Today (dear Son), as you walk down the aisle
You'll see all the faces wearing a smile.

But as we remember those young tender years
Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears.

They're not tears of sorrow, but tears full of joy
As we're both thinking back to our dear little boy

And now you have grown up and made us so proud
As you smile for the camera and the rest of the crowd

Remember dear (name) as you take your new wife
You're still very much a part of our life!

We're gaining a daughter. not losing a son,
You're new lives as husband and wife have begun

So be blissfully happy and enjoy your 'Big Day'
Have a wonderful marriage with a rose strewn way!

❤ ...Love is something that finds you ❤

A husband wrote "I'm like a fine wine;
I improve with age" he said in a letter
When he returned, she locked him in the cellar
To age and get better

I've Married One of Shakespeare's Dreams

Geniuses of countless nations

Have told their love for generations

Till all their memorable phrases

Are common as goldenrod or daisies.

Their girls have glimmered like the moon,

Or shimmered like a summer moon,

Stood like a lily, fled like a fawn,

Now the sunset, now the dawn,

Here the princess in the tower

There the sweet forbidden flower.

Darling, when I look at you

Every aged phrase is new,

And there are moments when it seems

I've married one of Shakespeare's dreams.

❤ Cooking done with care is an act of love. ❤

Take a couple of whole months, clean them thoroughly of all Bitterness, Rumours, Hate and Jealousy; in other words, make them as fresh and as clean as possible. Now cut each month into 28, 30 or 31 different parts...
But don't make up the whole batch at once..
Instead prepare it One Day at a Time.
Mix well each day:

One part of Faith,
One of Patience,
One of Courage,
One of Work,
Add one part each of:
Hope,
Faithfulness,
Generosity
Kindness;
Blend with:

One part Prayer,
One part Meditation
Good Deeds.
Season the whole with:

a dash of Good Spirit,
a sprinkle of Fun,
a pinch of Play
a cupful of Good Humor.

Pour all of this into a Vessel Of Love,
Cook thoroughly over Radiant Joy
Garnish with Smiles
serve with Quietness, Unselfishness and Cheerfulness

And you are bound to have a Happy Life.

❤  All sorrows are less with bread. ❤

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, it is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.

Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.

Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

Not wedding poems but a few Best Man Jokes

(Jim) believes that marriage and a career don't mix. So after the wedding he plans to quit his job.
I said to (Jim) "early on let her know who is the boss". He looked (Susie) right in the eye and clearly said, "You're the boss." Yes, they have come up with a perfect understanding. He won't try to run her life, and he won't try to run his, either.

They're almost inseparable. Sometimes it takes ten people to separate them.
It's not as great a day for (Susie) as she thinks. She's not marrying the best man.
I said to (Jim)
They had a disagreement about having a night out with the boys. In the end he agreed to let her go.

Not wedding poems but a sample Groom's toast

To my new wife (...........) who is the light of my life and will now be by my side always ( good job as the batteries in my torch have died)
I give you my heart, my soul and my promise to you that I will spend my time (not on the golf course) (not at the football match) or not all of them anyway!
First and formost loving and making you happy, building our dreams into reality. You've made me feel complete and brought my heart to life.
A toast for my beautiful bride.

❤ ❤

And finally, not wedding poems
but
The Legend of the Wedding Band

In a fair and far-off country many centuries ago a kind young King was married to a Princess he loved so. Together they lived happily until they learned one day that duties were to force the King to journey far away. One night before he left as he walked through the palace grounds he tossed, into a moonlit pool some pebbles he had found. As the lovely ripples widened from where the little pebbles fell the King stood thinking quietly of the wife he loved so well. And remembering, on the next day the circles he had seen he had a gold ring made to fit the finger of the Queen.

"There's no ending or beginning to the circle of this band," the King said to his wife as he slipped it on her hand. "And that's why I have chosen this golden ring to be a pledge, to you my love that will last through all eternity."

And so, since then,  a golden ring has been the symbol of the beauty of devotion and the endlessness of love.
May all the love and happiness you two have found together
Like the circle of a wedding band
Go on and on ...forever.

Wishing You Happiness Today and Always
